Landon joined the lab in the summer of 2026 as an NSF REU intern and is enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he is pursuing bachelor’s degrees in marine biology and environmental sciences. He is currently completing an honors thesis that examines the prey preferences of diamondback terrapins at his home institution. Landon is researching how summer flounder (Paralichthys dentatus) diet shifts across migratory habitats in New Jersey. His broader interests lie in how finfish trophic and movement ecology can be used to guide management and conservation decisions in the Mid-Atlantic region.
