After a successful 2025 summer flounder season, with more than 1400 tagged fluke and 164 recaptures, we’re proud to announced this year’s winners:
- Neil Simpson, recaptured a 15′ fluke in Barnegat Bay
- Haochen Shi (photographed above), recaptured a 13′ fluke in the Manasquan Inlet
An extra congratulations as this was their first time recapturing a tagged fish overall! Each was rewarded $500, as well as a congrats letter from the FiTREP team detailing their recaptured fish. We’d like to thank all those who participated this year, volunteer taggers and recreational recapturers alike, and hope to see you out on the water next season!
